Mosquito & Tick Control
Enjoy your yard again. Our professional mosquito control program dramatically reduces mosquito and tick populations so you can spend more time outdoors without the bite.
How It Works
Our expert-led approach creates a "bubble of protection" around your home by targeting mosquitoes exactly where they live and breed. Using high-precision backpack mist blowers, we apply a targeted barrier to shaded harboring areas — the undersides of foliage, low tree canopies, and under decks — to knock down adults within 24 hours. We don't waste product treating open lawn areas where mosquitoes don't rest. Instead, our technicians focus on adult and larvae resting and breeding areas to provide comprehensive protection. This strategic application keeps your property defended for roughly three weeks, stopping new mosquitoes from seeking shelter in your yard.
What You're Actually Fighting in the West Metro
Hennepin County is home to roughly 50 mosquito species, but a handful do almost all the biting. Aedes vexans (the floodwater mosquito) is our primary nuisance — its numbers explode after heavy rains as dormant eggs in low spots and ditches hatch all at once. By late July, Culex species become the focus as the primary vectors for West Nile Virus. Meanwhile, near wetland areas like Fish Lake or Lake Independence, the cattail mosquito (Coquillettidia perturbans) is the one ruining evenings — a persistent flier that emerges in massive mid-summer waves.
Ticks are the quieter, more serious threat. Deer ticks (blacklegged ticks) carry Lyme disease and anaplasmosis, and Hennepin County has been a high-incidence zone for over a decade. They thrive in the leaf litter and tall grass at the edge of wooded areas — the exact type of property lines found in Corcoran, Maple Grove, Plymouth, and surrounding areas. Our barrier treatment is designed to intercept both.
What to Expect on Treatment Day
Application
The tech walks the property and our backpack blower treats shaded foliage, fence lines, deck undersides, and the lower tree canopy. We don't spray turf, and we skip over vegetable beds, koi ponds, beehives, etc.
Drying (~30 min)
Stay off treated areas until dry. In humid July weather it can take 45 minutes.
After
You'll get a service summary by email. Expect a noticeable drop in mosquitoes 24 hours after application, with the best results occurring between days 3 and 18.
Our Treatment Cadence
First Visit
Late May or early June, once nighttime lows stay above 50°F. We map your property and apply a full barrier — this is the heaviest knockdown of the season.
Every 21 Days
To maintain your "bubble of protection" through the peak season, we return on a strategic 21-day cycle, refreshing your barrier before it fades for uninterrupted summer defense.
Final Treatment
Your seventh and final visit occurs in September. We reinforce your barrier as nights cool and populations naturally collapse, ensuring your property stays clear through autumn's end.
What's Included
- 7 barrier treatments from May through September
- Hits both adult mosquitoes and deer ticks in one application
- Targeted to shaded resting areas — no wasted product on open turf
- Free reapplication after 1″+ rain within 24 hours of treatment
- Email service summary after every visit

One-Time Event Sprays
Graduation parties, backyard weddings, and 4th of July gatherings book up fast — especially in Plymouth and Maple Grove neighborhoods where lots back up to wetlands. We treat 24 to 48 hours before your event for maximum knockdown, and you don't need to be on the seasonal program. Book at least a week ahead during peak June and July.
