Lawn Mowing
A well-mowed lawn is the foundation of great curb appeal. Our professional mowing service delivers consistent, clean cuts with commercial-grade equipment and trained crews.
Why Professional Mowing Matters
Mowing isn't just about keeping things tidy. Proper mowing height, sharp blades, and alternating patterns directly impact your lawn's health. Cut too short, and you stress the grass. Cut with dull blades, and you tear instead of slice, inviting disease. Our crews are trained to mow the right way, every time.

Our Approach to Mowing
We maintain a mowing height of 3–3.5 inches, which is the sweet spot for Minnesota's cool-season grasses (Kentucky Bluegrass, Fine Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass). This height shades the soil to suppress weeds, retains moisture during hot spells, and encourages deep root growth.
We also follow the "⅓ rule" — never removing more than one-third of the grass blade in a single cut. This reduces stress on the plant and prevents that scalped, yellow look that comes from cutting too aggressively.
What's Included Every Visit
- Full-property mowing with commercial-grade equipment
- String trimming around all edges, beds, and obstacles
- Blowing off driveways, sidewalks, and patios
- Alternating mowing patterns to prevent ruts and compaction
- Sharp blades maintained for clean, healthy cuts
- Clippings mulched back into the lawn (bagging available on request)
The Details That Matter
Proper Height
3-3.5 inches promotes deep roots and natural weed suppression. We never scalp your lawn.
Alternating Patterns
We change direction each week to prevent ruts, reduce compaction, and train the grass to stand upright.
Sharp Blades
Our blades are sharpened regularly. Clean cuts heal faster and resist disease — torn grass turns brown.
Reliable Crews
Same crew, same day, every week. Consistency means your lawn always looks its best.

Why We Mulch Clippings
Grass clippings are not thatch. When properly mulched, they decompose quickly and return valuable nitrogen back to the soil — essentially giving your lawn a free, light feeding with every mow.
Studies show that mulching clippings can reduce your fertilizer needs by up to 25%. We only recommend bagging when the lawn is overgrown or clippings would smother the turf.
